Title: The Sonnets by William Shakespeare: Dyslexia First Edition, 2026
Publisher: Shakespeare at Home Limited
This collection of William Shakespeare’s Sonnets is based on the first quarto printed in 1609.
We are grateful to the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., for the use of their modern version of the original 1609 text of the sonnets. You can find out more about the work that the Folger Shakespeare Library offers by visiting their website here.
You will find both the original Elizabethan text alongside the modern text kindly provided by The Folger Library in Washington D.C., bringing you the Sonnets in their most accessible form for the first time in over four hundred years.
We have used dyslexia-friendly fonts by default, putting neurodiversity first. These Dyslexia First editions will be available in OpenDyslexic, Lexend, Arial, and Courier fonts set in a fixed layout, preserving the original 1609 text.
This publication is available for free.
Did you know?  Books in Elizabethan England were sold by stationers and booksellers, often in London's book trade hubs like St Paul's Churchyard, where shops clustered near the cathedral.
