We recommend getting Shakespeare’s words onto their feet, allowing them to live and breathe within you.
You can share them out loud in front of an audience or alone. For actors working with any text, deep private study away from any interlocutor is vital to developing personal growth and is the backbone of any fine actor.
Take your craft of acting seriously while enjoying it fully.
On this page you will find resources that will help you get Shakespeare on its feet both publicly and privately nurturing your curiosity.
All the resources we recommended we do so from a having a trusted working and personal relationship with.
Have fun and fare thee well!

The Stationer's Company has been at the heart of the historic book trade and printing since 1403. Formed from the misteries of Textwriters and Limners and “other good people, citizens of London, who used to bind and sell books,” the Company received an unexpected boost with William Caxton’s introduction of the printing press to England in 1476.
In 1557, The Stationers's Company was granted Royal Charter becoming a guild and by 1559 became the 47th city livery company precedence.
Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets appear in the Company Registers throughout his life.
We recommend that you find out more about membership, the charity work The Stationers' Company does today, and immerse yourself in over six hundred years of history.

The Birds of Shakespeare is an independent project created and maintained by interdisciplinary artist Missy Dunaway. A growing, accessible guide to the rich intersection between Shakespeare and ornithology, this evolving collection aims to catalogue every bird mentioned in Shakespeare’s plays and poems—at least 65 species.
Every other month, a new bird is introduced through a painting and an accompanying essay that explores its role in Shakespeare’s world and its broader early modern cultural significance.
Missy upholds core values on education, inclusivity, and protecting our environment through her work. With meticulous attention to detail, she encourages us to observe our natural world to find the similarities between our environment today and Shakespeare’s.
We are delighted to share her work with you all and recommend immersing yourself in Missy's work, alongside Shakespeare's texts, as a learning aid and guide.
